In the early hours of June 13th, Tigereye and Psycho as well as their alts were basemented by Concierge Claudette due to suspected Patch use in conjunction with an "invisible vendo" in the new Silicon Cafe.
After Tigereye & Psycho got basemented I got to talk to them via ICQ, here is Tigereye's side of the story, the Chronology of what happened is understood best if you read this conversation first:
<Tigereye> I'm not sure if what I'm going to say will be taken in objectively, or as a guilty man trying to rationalize.
<maxxie> well, just state the facts <s>
<Tigereye> okay.
<Tigereye> Everyone's hounding to get into the new restaurant locales.
<Tigereye> I am too
<Tigereye> I get in, and the first thing I do, naturally (its what i always do) is search for unglued items.
<Tigereye> I find 8 of them in the 2nd locale(the one we're both in right now)
<maxxie> ok
<Tigereye> I immediately ESP CC/ "There are unglued items here. Do you want them?"
<Tigereye> "What are their names?" she asks
<Tigereye> I list the names.
<Tigereye> now. She says "Those are vendo items and are coming out tomorrow. You can keep them"
<Tigereye> oh oops i already forgot something. Before i list the names i go to pick one up. It says "Name: Grapes Price: 10T" or whatever. The green vendo balloon. Ya know?
<maxxie> yes
<Tigereye> sorry
<Tigereye> many many things happening.
<Tigereye> People say "What was that?"
<Tigereye> blah blah, CC esps me "Don't flip the vendo!" I didn't flip it, i just got the item. I've never seen this before. But, I've never seen an invis. vendo before. So, I guess they go hand in hand.
<Tigereye> There was a carbon copy of every item in the vendo unglued and gettable by anyone. I can't get them in public, people will know. I tell her this "You can keep them, just make sure nobody knows you have them, and don't tell the world about it!"
<maxxie> did you save text of all this ?
<Tigereye> no. I didn't think I needed to - its CC.
<Tigereye> wait.
<maxxie> how did Psycho get the items? you gave them to him or he grabbed some himself ?
<Tigereye> I go off and chat and wait for the locale to be free.
<Tigereye> I realize that Psycho does the same as I do. Looks for unglued items upon entering new ocales. I think of my 2 optioins:
<Tigereye> 1) Say nothing to psycho, let him find it, blab it and make a monopoly from the items
<Tigereye> 2) Tell him to keep his mouth shut so that only 1 finds out, not 1000.
<Tigereye> I stick with option 2. I espmail him. He says "OK."
<Tigereye> Now I have to get the items out before someone else finds them. I don't want a thief to take 'em, CC trusted 'em with me pretty much.
<Tigereye> Finally, the locale is almost empty. I go and unghost and I'm wiating for it to be clear.
<Tigereye> It's clear. I get 1. 2. 3. Now I have 4 of 8. 5. SHOOT I realize I don't have pocket space!
<Tigereye> no containers.
<Tigereye> "Psycho, get here now!"
<maxxie> lol
<Tigereye> a ghost comes, i think it's psycho (I hope it is)
<Tigereye> they dont' unghost. Finally they unghost and there's still a ghost there. I give them to him, he pockets them. everything's cool.
<Tigereye> We got the items out, only 1 person could have seen anything, we hope for the best. Psycho goes off to watch TV, and I continue on the new game I'm making for Hallway. (Memory)
<Tigereye> I had 3 or 6, psycho had the rset.
<maxxie> so, let me try to get this clear.... there was a hidden vendo, PLUS a copy of each item in it was laying about... you grabbed those eight items and gave some of them to psycho.
<Tigereye> I had no pocket room, and since Psycho alraedy knew the whole story, I saw nothing wrong.
<Tigereye> Psycho goes to watch TV.
<Tigereye> I'm programming, when Rag and Rob unghost and start blasting me. Madness unghosts too and is listening.
<maxxie> so you didnt retrieve items from the vendo? that wasnt possible?
<Tigereye> no, I never bought JACK from that vendo.
<Tigereye> You could buy the items, yes. But I didn't buy them. For some reason, I don't know why, never seen it before, there were carbons in the vendo that were "gettable".
<Tigereye> The items were there, and when i got them, they were still in the vendo, but not mobile anymore. It was weird.
<Tigereye> correct.
<maxxie> ok, so just ONE copy of each item was gettable.
<maxxie> you could however have bought items ?
<Tigereye> yes I coud have, but I didn't. I Still had the same amount of tokens.
<maxxie> how do you know if you didnt :)
<Tigereye> because I didn't click "Buy this item" I clicked "Get"
<maxxie> no I mean how do you know that you could have BOUGHT items too :-)

<Tigereye> because, it made sense. There's a vendo, "view next" works, "view last" works.
<maxxie> ok
<Tigereye> i assumed. I didn't even have time to buy any. I didn't have pocket room either.
<maxxie> you could operate the vendo only with using a patch though, is that correct ?
<Tigereye> yes, and CC knew this. She told me to get the items.

<maxxie> why didnt psycho turn in the items then though when she asked him to, if that was the plan anyway.
<Tigereye> anywho. Rob and Rag unghost and were yelling at me. I dont know, I wasn't there at that time.
<Tigereye> I'm talking about me.
<Tigereye> Rob and Rag unghost and start accusing me of stealing, giving items to Psycho and patching blah blah blah. They jumped to conclusions, they didn't give me the benefit of the doubt like a Valet should, and ask for my story first. They just started LITTERALLY blasting me. I tell them "Guys, I'm doing something for CC here. You can ask her" They kept on blasting me about a hidden vendo, patches, etc (IN PUBLIC mind you, and I was told to keep it OUT of the public). I say "I can't talk about it here, I'll meet you guys in turf Conference Room.
<Tigereye> I go there, they port to me.
<Tigereye> They continue blasting. (I have a log of this)
<Tigereye> They scream TOS and PATCH! and don't care a word for my story. Finally I cut in, tell them a BS story *on purpose*. I was told to keep it out of the public. They were yelling everything to everyone. I didn't want more to go into the public. I didn't want people making patches to buy items they shouldn't have.
<Tigereye> I tell them "Once I talk to CC, everything will fall in place. Don't worry guys, just let me talk to CC"
<Tigereye> Rob has his amulet out and is still screaming, bursting in, not letting me finish. I finally think "K, they're gonna mute me and i won't be able to talk to CC. I'm gonna log out now"
<Tigereye> I say "I'm logging out now for fear of being wrongfully punished by 2 emotional Valets who don't know, and aren't attempting to get, all of the facts."
<Tigereye> "Save text now, Good Day{F7}"
<Tigereye> I log out.
<Tigereye> I go to DS to work on the program. Psycho's ICQ thingie pops up, I tell him what's happening. He say "Gawd, theyre being fools. We'll talk to CC, everything will be fine"

<Tigereye> I esp her "Claudette! Thank god you're here, let me get Tigereye and then I need to talk to you pronto"

<maxxie> so where in all of this did things go wrong you think ? was it the "false story" maybe you told the valets ?
<Tigereye> no. CC did give me one more chance. "One more screwup and you're gone"
<Tigereye> She didn't even listen to me. I wish she could hear this story, but she is so closed minded. Lemmi send you that log of me, rag, and rob.

<Tigereye> oh, and another way I knew the vendo would 'buy' is because it was flagged that way.
<maxxie> ok... I still dont understand why things went wrong though. Are you leaving anything out that could have been misunderstood, some public joking about it or anything else that could have been misunderstood?

<Tigereye> I was going to offer them back again when I saw her - I mean - I would get them in 24 hours anyways, right?

<Tigereye> and i just thought of why psycho didn't give the items to CC.

<Tigereye> I'm not denying I used a patch. Claudette knew I was using it, and knew it was the only way to get the items. I used the patch only for the betterment of the Hotel. I know it sounds corny, but it's true.
<maxxie> I have to talk to him again too, he didnt tell me all you did, he left out stuff. He basically told me that you got the items (however you did it) and gave him some of them.
<maxxie> I believe you, but I think they dont want that either. No Patch in their eyes means no patch, for whatever reason. good or bad.
<Tigereye> then why did CC endorse it when she saw me using it? She asked for the rest of them to be gotten quietly. There's only 1 way to do that <shrug>
<maxxie> yes that makes no sense to me either.
<maxxie> ok, do you want me to write the story or do you want to write something yourself for the Soap ?
<maxxie> I have to talk to Psycho again first too though , if I do it.

I sent an e-mail to Concierge Claudette attaching my conversation with Tigereye and asking her if all could just be a misunderstanding and why she allowed him to pick up items. She did respond to me, but unfortunately did not give me permission to publish anything she said to me. Of course I am irritated that she doesn't want her side published, but it's her decision.Her answer did however not clear the matter fully, I still think this whole case is based on a misunderstanding and overreaction on both sides. Tigereye and Psycho wanting to be TOO helpful and Concierge Claudette being too emotional about it, since she spent a lot of time and effort on the new locales and thought Tigereye and Psycho were about to do harm to the event (which I honestly think wasn't their intention).
I can't and I don't want to judge this, I have investigated this story the best I could, readers can make up their own mind.
